Director of Investment Strategy

Morgan Fippinger

Morgan Fippinger serves as the Director of Investment Strategy at Pacific Capital, where he oversees all investment management decisions across the firm’s family office client base. Morgan leads Pacific Capital’s Investment Committee, drives the firm’s research agenda, and is ultimately responsible for the construction, positioning, and ongoing oversight of every client family’s investment portfolio.

Morgan brings a rigorous, research driven approach to portfolio management, combining deep market analysis with disciplined risk management to ensure that each family’s investments are aligned with their long term objectives. His role extends beyond portfolio construction into shaping the firm’s broader investment philosophy and guiding strategic & tactical decisions as market conditions evolve.

Morgan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), and Certified Financial Fiduciary (CF2®), a combination of designations that reflects both his deep technical expertise and his commitment to acting in the best interest of every client family.

Before joining Pacific Capital, Morgan spent eight years at Charles Schwab, where he gained extensive experience in wealth and investment management. That background gave him a strong foundation in portfolio management and financial planning, and a clear understanding of what families need when they move beyond a retail advisory relationship into a true family office.

Morgan enjoys life in Southern California with his wife and two children. He is a volunteer at the Bonsai Pavilion at the San Diego Safari Park and enjoys giving back to the community through his passion for bonsai. Outside the office, he is committed to continuous learning, staying active, and spending quality time with his family.
