In this interview, Chad Willardson—a father of five, entrepreneur, City Treasurer, and best-selling author—shares insights from his latest book, Fully Invested. Managing over $1.4 billion in investments and running four companies, Willardson reflects on his discovery that “work-life balance is a lie.” His new book aims to help driven professionals excel in both business and family life without feeling like they must sacrifice one for the other.

Known for his conversational writing style, Willardson contributes to Entrepreneur and Forbes, and publishes over 100 newsletters a year. He cites 10X Is Easier Than 2X and Who Not How by Dr. Benjamin Hardy and Dan Sullivan as major influences. Currently, he’s celebrating his book release with a virtual conference, Fully Invested LIVE (Oct 28–30), and a series of podcast and press appearances.

His advice to aspiring authors: “Done is better than perfect.” Personally guided by the principle of prioritizing faith and family first, Willardson continues his goal of writing ten books in ten years, with six already completed.
